Purpose
My educational philosophy is student centered, responsive, and collaborative – grounded in my experiences as a learner and teacher. I know all children are unique and all are capable of learning. We adults must hold caring, rigorous, high expectations, and provide our students the joyful, engaging instruction, curricular tools and supports they need to be successful. I equally view adults as continual learners, who through reflection, support and collaboration refine and broaden their knowledge and skills, so that together we may teach the whole child - academically, socially and emotionally.
One role of education is to prepare our children to be thoughtful, successful, creative leaders in whatever future they choose, as they become 21st century thinkers. Our schools also serve to provide our children the ethical and social skills needed to work together, to participate with and enrich our communities. We must partner with families and the community in collaboration to meet these complex goals. As we work together to reflect on each child and our data, analyzing our successes and seeking growth opportunities, we will meet the needs of all students to achieve success.
It takes trust, strong relationships, open communication and partnering together to educate and raise our children. Together, we can reach our goals, make our world a more just and better place, and give our children and our society the future they and we want and deserve. It is to this mission I am dedicated and called to serve. I seek to partner with our school community in this journey of joyful, child centered, successful learning.
I invite you to join me,
